Elementary
PowerZone at the elementary level is tailored specifically to meet their abilities and needs. It is programming that is high energy yet meaningful and relevant to their lives as they grow in their relationship with Christ. Our goal is bringing the Bible to life for them so that it is real and serves a purpose in their lives.
The hour consists of the following activities:
Activity Stations
Children are greeted when they arrive and are invited to select one of the activities to play. This is the time when our staff connects with them through play and talks to them about their week’s activities.
Kid Connection
Our children break into small groups and are asked a question that leads into a discussion about the key concept for the day.
Worship and Teaching
Next, the children participate in worship that is a mixture of high energy and softer worship songs that they can relate to.
This is followed by creative teaching that brings the Bible to life for them and relates specifically to the challenges and needs that they have in their lives.
Small Group Time
After worship and teaching, the children break into small groups again where they participate in activities such as a craft, game, and discussion that reinforces the key concept they learned during worship and teaching.
This is also the time where they interact more closely with the other children and their small group leader and build closer relationships.
At the end they pray together and are ready for pick up.
