This past weekend, we talked about the 10th and final commandment. It reads like this: "You must not covet your neighbor’s house. You must not covet your neighbor’s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else that belongs to your neighbor.” - Exodus 20:17 In today's terms, coveting is the sin of wanting what is not yours. It is a gateway sin...leading to all kinds of other sins. Just think of the David and Bathsheba story...it starts with coveting and ends with lying, adultery and even murder!
Pastor Bill shares a final thought regarding his sermon this past weekend:
"God wants follows who are free from coveting...he wants folllowers who are so satisfied in his love and blown away by his goodness and generosity...that we're then free to use our resources for the advancement of the kingdom!" ~ Bill Cox
What gifts/time/talents have you been given...and how can you use them for His Kingdom's purposes today?
