How truly GOOD the Gospel is

Hey friends, we’ve completed three weeks of our series on the book of Galatians called Fresh Air!  Hasn’t it been incredible to hear about HOW GOOD the good news of the Gospel truly is?  I thought I’d recap some of what has really shaped me through this series.  Here are some of my big takeaways:

  • The new law that we follow is LOVE!  We don’t live under hundreds of laws and have to offer sacrifices to please God...we simply love God and love people!  Through Jesus, God is already pleased with us.
  • God is for us!  God sees us through the lens of the cross...completely perfect, forgiven, Holy...and saintly even!  We can’t do anything to make God love us any more...or any less!
  • We are called to live our lives FREE from anxiety (in the perfect peace of knowing where we stand with God) and insecurity (in amazing grace that Jesus has done all the work...and paid our ransom in full)!
  • God’s purpose for us is not dependent on us...God is doing the work...we just need to follow his lead!

Amazing!  I hope you’ve been able to apply these teachings to your life...so that they become more than just exciting words!  This weekend, we’ll continue our study on Galatians as we dive into chapter 3.  Get a head start on the Sunday and read through it!

In case you missed last weekend, I wanted to let you know that we’ve installed new leadership in our PowerZone (Children’s) Ministry.  Andrea, Beth and Stacy are our new trio of PZ leaders and they’re super excited (which is an understatement) to minister to the youngest among us...those who are the true FUTURE of the church!  I hope you’ll take the time to introduce yourself to them and get to know them a bit!  They are truly AMAZING leaders and I couldn’t be more excited for all God is going to do in and through them!  Awesome!

We have many exciting things going on...and many NEW people getting connected to our church!  Praise God for all He’s doing!  I hope today you’re living under His lead and joyfully expectant of all of the exciting things He has planned for our lives!

See you Sunday!  Remember, this week there will be a COMBINED SERVICE AT 11AM...with no 5PM service!

Hope to see you at 11AM!  Much love!
