COVID-19 Church Updates

Update May 14, 2021

On May 13, 2021 an announcement was made that those who are fully vaccinated (2 weeks past their last shot) do not need to wear a mask indoors or out. The CDC recommends that persons who are not fully vaccinated continue to wear a mask.

An update from Brian Kelly: Week of February 1

Beginning this week, we will resume some in person gatherings at our church.  This will include some of our weekend worship services, but it will also include a number of other options for connecting in physical gatherings.

Here's the deal:  One gathering is not a better or more complete connection to the church than another.  All of the things we will be offering serve the purpose of helping us connect to the life of the church.

And here's the other thing--which just sounds so weird:  We are not encouraging you to attend these physical gatherings.

We recognize that while we will be following all the safety protocols recommended to gather people safely, there is still a risk connected to in person gatherings.  And while some in our church are ready to take that risk, others are not and should not.  So please, feel no compulsion to show up right now in person.

Our online and radio offerings are only going to continue to improve.  They will remain very robust.  And if those options are working for you, great.  There is no need to return in person.

In fact, as we've said since the launch of our online campus four years ago, if you prefer the online experience to showing up in person--for whatever reason--please stay online with our blessing.  There is no extra credit for showing up in person.

But, if you have been waiting for the opportunity to regather in person in a safe and responsible way, beginning this week you will have multiple opportunities to do that as we move ahead into this strange new reality which is our present culture.
